On June 17, 2024 (3 Ashar 2081), Far Western University marked its 15th foundation day with a grand celebration attended by a diverse array ofstakeholders, including social workers, educationalists, political leaders,heads of various institutions and organizations, mayors from differentmunicipalities, university authorities, students, guardians, and othercommunity members.
Prof. Hem Raj Pant, the Vice-Chancellor of Far Western University, presidedover the event and shared an insightful presentation on the current status ofthe university along with his strategic vision for the next four years. Theevent commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Prof. Yagya Raj Pathak.Throughout the program, esteemed dignitaries from various sectors underscoredthe importance of the university's leadership focusing on community engagement,transparency, and quality education. They highlighted key areas where theuniversity could make significant improvements and contributions.
In his concluding remarks, Vice-Chancellor Pant committed to aligning theuniversity’s initiatives with societal expectations. He emphasized a strongdedication to enhancing faculty involvement in research by allocatingsufficient budget and ensuring institutional transparency. A highlight of theevent was the awarding of the "Dirga Sewa Pramanpatra" to over 30university employees in recognition of their long-term service. Additionally,social workers Mr. Dilli Raj Lekhak and Mr. Liladhwaj Basnet were honored fortheir contributions. The event was a testament to the university's ongoingcommitment to excellence and community involvement.
