FAR WESTERN UNIVERSITY (FWU) NEPAL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ROORKEE (IITR), INDIA to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The MoU is signed by Prof Hem Raj Pant, Vice Chancellor, FWU and Prof K.K. Pant, Director, IITR. Both Prof. Hem Raj Pant and Prof. K.K. Pant expressed their happiness on the addition of this new chapter in the partnership of FWU and IITR and committed to provide full support from their side in fostering long-lasting and mutually beneficial collaborations between the two institutions. The partnership between FWU and IITR will lead to many new joint research initiatives, capacity building activities, faculty and student exchange programmes, and joint academic programmes in Engineering and Technology producing new synergies, and adding academic value for both institutions in the years ahead. The FWU team visited the International Relations (IR) Office of IITR to have an interaction with the officials (Prof V.C. Srivastava, Dean of International Affairs, and Dr. Shantanu Wahal, Executive Officer) on the prospective partnership between the FWU and IITR. In addition, FWU Team visited different engineering departments of IITR and discussed with the heads and faculties of Department of Architecture & Planning; Civil Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Data Science & Artificial Intelligence; Management; and Computational Mathematics for specific collaborative activities. We are really grateful to the Director of IITR, Deans and Heads of different departments of IITR for their warm hospitality and strong commitment to support FWU.
